First Kiss

There was something endless about that night, and how it seemed to be so short, like that skirt you wore and the conversations we' d had. You didn't know me. but you liked it that way, though straying away from familiarity was never really your strong point, but at least it was comfortable.. Eerilly. It was cold that night.. I had done it jokingly, and quickly so that I wouldn't waste a breath, but softly so it would take yours away..... And I've been trying ever since.

I remember when you used to fake it,
have those dreams of how we'd make it
but those are gone, our future's set
